The shrimp curry was one of the menu's pricier dishes, but it came with just four shrimp (I paid extra for them), a few bits of pickled corn, and about half a cup of rice. I'm a slow eater, yet the waitress was surprised when I finished quickly. I should've explained that there simply wasn't much food, though it wasn't her fault, so I said nothing. I asked for a table by the ocean and got hit by the smell of rotting seaweed. It came and went, but when the air was still it was like an exposed septic system. Service was slow when we arrived, and I had to carry my check to the cashier to leave. I don't remember the price, but I'm in Barbados for a week and this was easily my worst restaurant experience.

Atlantis Inn Restaurant has a wonderful view, and the whole meal felt special. The team were attentive, knew their stuff, and seemed to care about making guests feel welcome. The food was beautifully cooked and full of flavour. A hidden gem in Barbados, and I'll definitely be back.

The atmosphere was great and the service was good, but the food was horrific. The breakfast burrito was tiny, bland, and unevenly served on a dry tortilla, with bad guacamole. The eggs Benedict came on a dry, uncooked English muffin, and the hollandaise was more like a light lemon sauce. There were several kinds of leaves on it for some reason, and the whole dish was tasteless, dainty, and unsatisfying. There wasn't any flavor anywhere, not even salt on the table. It was Boxing Day, so I hope they had third-line staff working, because if that was a proper chef, it's worrying for a place like this. One star for the food, plus one for the atmosphere.
