Everyone I dealt with was wonderful, from the driveway and security to the front desk, housekeeping, and restaurant team. My room was spotless, the bed was comfortable, and the food was delicious. Apart from the rooms needing a new coat of paint, my five nights at Fars went faultlessly. They made my first stay in Dhaka a real pleasure.

Feast Restaurant had varied, satisfying food, and the staff were genuinely attentive. I also really liked the rooftop pool and spa, a welcome place to unwind from Dhaka’s bustle. With its central location for exploring the city, FARS Hotel & Resorts is a comfortable, well-situated choice.

Sort’s hotels tend to get good reviews from travelers, especially people there for outdoor pursuits. Most of the recommended places rate Very Good to Wonderful, usually 8.0/10 or higher. They seem well suited to mountain breaks, rafting and other adventure sports, and motorcycle touring groups.

The hotel is average to good, but the food was horrible. Even the vegetarian dishes tasted like non-veg, and the bathroom was stocked with cheap cosmetics and shampoos, so bring your own soap and shampoo. As a vegetarian from India, I was also refused permission to bring in food from outside, even after explaining why. They made me sign a declaration, which I found bizarre after traveling around the world. I’d pick a hotel in Gulshan instead, where this kind of discrimination and declaration isn’t required.
