I had a good stay here, and the management were really nice. They even helped me out a couple of times with an unusual request, arranging access to refrigeration for my catering business.

We found it a peaceful, pleasant place to stay, with comfortable enough rooms for a reasonable price. The hotel also had little practical touches that made things easier, like having the basics available if you'd forgotten a toothbrush. A nice, simple surprise. Its position between Ghent and Brussels worked well as a base for exploring Bruges, the coast, and inland areas, especially for people who like getting out and being active.

The people were friendly, breakfast was good, and I liked that they think about the environment and avoiding waste. Still, €186 for one night felt far too much for what we got. The website said €150 including breakfast, but that wasn't the case, so it was really disappointing to feel misled by their own page. We were also woken from 6 am by dogs barking. The value for money just wasn't there.

It's a great spot if you like walking and nature, very close to Drongengoedbos. Our room was clean and kept up well, and the hosts were friendly. One small suggestion for the family rooms: since there's a kitchen, a sponge, little towel, and dish soap would be handy.
