De Meren was the highlight of our recent trip to the Netherlands and Belgium. We liked it even more than The Dukes Palace in Brugge. Greet and Frank are amazing hosts, and the rooms were very clean. The main room is beautiful and relaxing, and breakfast was fantastic, with everything you could want. We took a loop bike ride to an old windmill for a tour of how it worked, then went on to Abby Averbode. We had a wonderful lunch there before riding back. There's also an amazing restaurant a five-minute walk through the trees, such a beautiful walk. I can't recommend De Meren enough.

A lovely, cozy place with a luxury feel, kept very clean and surrounded by beautiful scenery. It's easy to reach Brussels or Leuven by car, and there's a train nearby. A great place to stay.
