The view over the skyline from the top floor is brilliant, and we didn’t use breakfast, so I can’t comment on it. That was the bright spot in an otherwise bad long weekend with friends. We booked two rooms, but they put us on different floors even though the hotel wasn’t full. On the first day our AC didn’t work, so we moved rooms, then found out it wasn’t working properly on most floors. Since autumn 2025, all balconies have been closed because of what they called "municipal conditions". I don’t know, and I can’t believe it. The balcony door fittings are adjusted wrong, so you hear all the street noise. There’s no window and no fresh air, even with an open kitchen in the room. AC doesn’t replace fresh air. Then a bulb exploded in a broken lamp and the room went dark. The sink drain was clogged, and the stove started beeping every ten minutes overnight for unknown reasons. The next morning, we heard a bunch of Dutch people complaining about many of the same things. Used dishes had been left on the table in the entrance for days, and employees seemed uninterested. We also pointed out that a room list with customer details, including my full name and room number, was left openly readable next to the counter every day. That’s a serious data issue under European GDPR, but the night guard seemed uninterested when we raised it. We’re thinking about making a data protection complaint. There’s only one elevator for customers and the cleaning crew, and the cleaning staff are sparse. Only two employees seemed motivated to do their jobs. Next time I’m staying at another hotel.
