We had a lovely stay, from the attentive staff and comfortable, spacious rooms to the delicious, varied breakfast. It’s a charming old-fashioned boutique hotel, a welcome break from the indistinguishable chains, and its location makes the main Antwerp sights easy to reach on foot. Our room wasn’t ready when we arrived early, but the staff welcomed us with coffee and a croissant in a delightful courtyard off the dining room. The whole visit was a pleasure, and we recommend it enthusiastically.

We stayed three nights, April 3-6, 2025, and were so impressed that I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in the city. The owner was lovely to meet, and the service, food, room, and location were outstanding. We stayed in The Berlin Palace. When we arrived at noon, too early to check in, Cedric at the front desk greeted us by our last name. We hadn’t said it, but he’d heard me call my husband by his first name and worked out who we were. Then he told us our room was ready. I wanted to hug him after our long, jet-lagging flight from the USA. I can’t say enough good things.

The staff were the best we encountered on our vacation. Reception was friendly and accommodating. The historic building is beautiful, and our room was large and comfortable. As a tall person, I especially appreciated the long, roomy bed. Breakfast was included and nice. It’s a little farther from the train station, but close to the city centre and some great restaurants.

We had a fantastic stay in the Penthouse Cathedral. The room was beautiful and had everything we needed. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, and they even had really nice GF bread for me. The owner was very welcoming, and all the staff were so helpful. Wonderful ❤️
