We’d recommend this place. We arrived on Saturday afternoon and couldn’t check in because of a misunderstanding, but a woman helped us right away. The apartment was bright and modern, with high ceilings, and was just as good as we expected. A few more things in the kitchen would have been nice, but it wasn’t a big deal.

It looks pretty, but it simply wasn’t clean. The bathroom bin was full, there were all sorts of stains left by previous guests, the fridge was disgustingly filthy, and there were cigarette butts on the terrace. I’d sent an unanswered message through Airbnb and tried calling twice on arrival day, but the phone was off. It wasn’t a warm welcome. Someone was at the desk the next morning, but we were already checking out in a hurry. I’m posting this publicly in the hope you treat paying guests better next time.

My room on the 4th floor was amazing, with a nice view and tasteful decor. It was well equipped too: there was a kettle, coffee machine, pots, a pan, basic cutlery and dishes, a stovetop, and an oven. They even provided olive oil, salt, and pepper, so you can make a nice dinner or breakfast. I’d recommend the place to just about anyone.

The view of the river is beautiful, the place is clean, and I really appreciated the air conditioning. But for nearly €180 a night over three nights, it fell far short of what I’d expect from a “4 star” place. The website photos made the apartment look high-end, but it felt very run down and cheaply furnished. There were wall marks, chips in the wood and sink, and marks on most surfaces. It also lacked the usual amenities for a hotel apartment: no iron or ironing board, dishwasher, or washing machine. Apart from two each of knives, forks, and spoons, there were no utensils at all. For three nights, we were given only four coffee pods and one creamer. The woman at check-in was very lovely, but had left by 4:30 pm on our first day, despite the stated 5 pm closing time. I never got a reply to my text asking about an iron.
