The room was modern, the bed was comfortable, and the hotel is well placed near both the station and the busy centre. Breakfast was a mess when I was there. Tables hadn’t been cleared and there were no knives, forks, bowls, or mugs. I had coffee and yogurt in a water glass and used a spoon to spread butter. Maybe I arrived at a bad time, but it stayed that way for at least 20 minutes. The food itself was poor quality and highly processed. I’d recommend the hotel, just skip breakfast since there are better choices nearby.
Good value for the price, and the hotel is comfortable and nicely located very close to the central station. If you’re sharing a room, though, be aware that the shower and WC are in the bedroom, divided from the rest by tinted glass walls that aren’t fully opaque. You’ll need to be comfortable with that level of privacy around your travel companion.
It’s very convenient for trains, and you can walk to all the cool spots from here. My room and bed were chic, thoughtfully designed, and comfortable. I had a corner room with gorgeous views, though I know not every room will have that. Check-in was easy, and breakfast was about what you’d expect at similar hotels. I loved the industrial feel in the hallways. It was stylish to me, though that’s clearly where they saved money to keep the hotel more affordable. I’ve never had such good value at a hotel.
There’s a cute, almost hostel-like atmosphere here, and the service was good. We asked for extra pillows and got them right away. The hotel is right next to Antwerp Central Station, and the shopping street is a five-minute walk away. The rooms felt new, up to date, clean, and cozy, and the bed was nice. We skipped breakfast, but it smelled really good each morning. I liked the hotel’s very sustainable approach, which feels innovative. We’d definitely return and recommend A-stay.
We left a day early, and the Easter weekend was ruined. We didn’t get reimbursed for the parking space or tax. The Family room we booked for our dog and child was tiny, and the window looked onto building sites rather than a panoramic view. There was no garden at the back as shown online, just another construction site, and there was no bird picture by the entrance either. The towels were stained and there was an unidentified mark in the shower. Soldiers were patrolling the streets, probably because diamond sellers are just around the corner, and we didn’t feel comfortable. Arriving was already a shock.
