We had an extraordinary meal at this restaurant in Antwerp. The meal started with an appetizer of eel, parmesan, and clams, delicious and beautifully presented. Then came North Sea crab, fried scallops, oyster, and wasabi foam. The texture was delicate and the flavors intense. The menu’s non-fish option had a carpaccio made from Tuscan meat aged for four weeks, with parmesan foam. Next we had young codfish, Norse skrei, with orzo pasta, a squid ink texture, and vegetable sauce. It was the most delicious dish I’ve ever had, truly amazing. The non-fish alternative was a poached egg with hollandaise and asparagus. It was very good, with incredible asparagus and such soft hollandaise. For the main, we had Limousin veal with shitakes and classic gravy, seasoned vegetables with truffle, sweetbreads croquettes, and pomme dauphine. Dessert was brioche with pomegranate gel, lemon ice cream, a hazelnut sphere, praline, and tangerine. A fantastic dining experience for any traveller visiting Antwerp. I totally recommend this restaurant, you won’t be disappointed.

A comfy, nice setting, and we had a great food and wine experience. We almost passed on the “een warm madeleineke” at the end, since we’d already eaten way too much, but it turned out to be a great way to finish the evening!

We chose the four-course menu, and each dish got better as it went along. The sole with prawn cream was excellent, as was the quail main. For the price and quality, the menu is a must. The place has a cool atmosphere, mixing classic decor with a trendier style, so it works really well for a romantic lunch or dinner. We also tried a gin and tonic from their large selection, which I’d recommend.

The food was delicious, the service excellent, and the decor lovely. We had the four-course menu and every dish brought a surprise with great flavor. It was the most satisfying meal of our trip through Rotterdam and Antwerp. We really enjoyed the evening!
