The room change on the second day was a real shock. We had chosen the beautiful classic room with a spa to celebrate an important occasion for my wife. After a leak came through the ceiling, staff offered to move us, but the replacement room was smaller, had no spa or the other features of our original room, and had no decorations. We weren't told what the new room would be like before agreeing to move. When we asked about a discount, they said we would need to contact Booking.com because we had paid through them. They offered a reduction on a future stay, but we don't feel safe or confident in the hotel's upkeep, so we won't return. There were other problems too. After we checked in on our two-night stay, we left our luggage and went into the city. When we came back, another key had been left in the door outside, meaning someone could have entered and taken our bags. I messaged the hotel through Booking.com about the security concern, but had still heard nothing 24 hours later. The way these issues were handled left us feeling that the hotel was avoiding responsibility and not treating us properly as customers. We came to celebrate, but our plans and feelings were badly affected. I hope they address these operational problems soon.

We booked the Grange section of Château Vivier l’Agneau for our wedding on May 30, 2026, and it made for a wonderful weekend. The estate is beautiful and almost magical, and our guests loved it. Its different spaces were lovely for our couple's photos. The rooms were modern, comfortable, spotless, and superb. Our family, friends, and witnesses all had a comfortable place to stay, and everyone enjoyed the accommodations. The gardener carefully looked after the grounds the day before the wedding, and the cleaning staff kept the property in excellent condition. The whole team helped make the weekend memorable. Mr. Lambert, the owner, was kind and attentive. He got in touch the day before and the morning after the wedding to check that things were going smoothly and that we had what we needed. Mr. Mathot, the venue manager, was also professional and quick to answer our questions, guiding us through the planning process. We highly recommend Château Vivier l’Agneau as an elegant, welcoming venue that is well maintained and professionally run. Our wedding there will stay with us as a lovely memory. Mr. & Mrs. Gerard

The castle and its view are lovely, but the stay had too many drawbacks for the price. Our room was small and had no wardrobe. Noise from the nearby main road came through the poor soundproofing constantly, and the television picture wasn't clear. Spiders were all over the room and common areas, which made the place feel more like Halloween than somewhere comfortable to stay. There was also a serious safety concern on the first-floor terrace: one whole side had no railing, which seems dangerous for children. Improvements are needed to make the cost feel justified.
