Notarishuis Beveren B&B

After surgery, I slept better here than I do at home, which says a lot. The beds are so comfortable, and even as someone who's fussy about sleeping conditions, I rested well. Rooms are quiet and well insulated, with good temperature control, a fridge, a lovely bathroom and toiletries, and a TV that can run your Netflix account. The B&B is immaculate and beautifully furnished, more like a high-end boutique hotel. It's right in the centre of Beveren, easy to reach from Antwerp or Brussels. It took me three hours from London. The town is quiet and has decent local places to eat. And on the point about reception not being staffed all the time, this is a B&B. Breakfast was a treat: pastries, cold meats and cheeses, cereals, breads, fruit, and other savoury choices. The breakfast room looks out over the well-kept gardens and swimming pool and is beautiful in its own right. Seema, the owner, paid such close attention to the details and did everything she could to make me comfortable. Nothing felt like too much trouble. The people running a place make such a difference. Thank you for a warm, welcoming, incredibly comfortable stay.

After my surgery, I found the stay really relaxing and slept so well. My surgeon, who lives on site, recommended the place, and Seema was so accommodating. The rooms are immaculate, and breakfast has a generous, varied selection. It's also ideally placed for visiting the local town and shops. There's an outdoor pool from April, too. I'd recommend it to anyone and hope to return soon.

Seema and her family made my birthday memorable with a lovely surprise. I was travelling alone and staying for a week after surgery, and Seema went out of her way to make me comfortable. She's a caring, attentive host, and the staff were friendly as well. Notarishuis has character, with tasteful decor and very comfortable beds. Breakfast was good, and the B&B is tucked away somewhere quiet while still being close to all the amenities. A wonderful place to stay, and I'd definitely recommend it.

From the off-street courtyard, you'd never guess how comfortable and beautiful it is inside. This classy guest house in central Beveren is lovely, especially if you get a room overlooking the garden. The outdoor heated pool is a real luxury.
