We only stayed briefly, but the gîte was really pleasant and the host was lovely and attentive. Already looking forward to coming back! 😃

The house does at least try to bring some of the Binche Carnival atmosphere indoors. Still, there are practical things to be aware of: it sits between a busy road and the railway, so there’s no pleasant walk starting right from the house. The garden is small if you’re sitting out with a bigger group, and some areas weren’t cleaned as well as others. Our experience at this gite felt surreal. We cut our stay short and didn’t get the full deposit back, with no explanation. I emailed to ask why and never got a reply.

The owners made us feel so welcome, they were extremely friendly. The house was excellent, with Binche carnival-themed decor, and the garden and cleanliness were great too.
