The bed was fresh and the room looked clean overall, but the hotel was expensive and the room itself felt quite poor. There were cracked walls, a broken shower, a strange atmosphere, and a bathroom that needs renovating. The walls were so thin I could hear everything, including kitchen work because I was near the lobby. The fridge was covered in mold inside, and the air conditioning smelled bad. It felt like the owners were taking money without putting anything back into the business. At reception, the woman wrote down my credit card number and expiry date, then asked for the security code. When I refused, she said it was common practice and that her boss needed it. Someone should report this, it's nearly a crime. Would you really provide that information willingly? ;)

BEWARE! It was around 80F, and there was no ventilation. The advertised AC and mini fridge were both broken, so food spoiled in the fridge. There were dead spiders on the wall, brown water, and a strong mold smell in the room. They refused to refund us, and we had to pay top dollar to move somewhere else at the last minute, losing all that money. Reviews on other sites say the AC had been broken since May. For almost two days, they kept telling us someone was coming to fix it. Please stay somewhere else!

Everything was clean, which matters a lot to us, and we got such a friendly welcome. The staff were lovely, the interior was stylish, and breakfast was good. It felt like the place was made with heart. We had a great time and will definitely come back. Thank you!

The workers treated their guests so kindly, and the hotel was really clean. It's the best hotel I've visited, and I'll definitely be back. Thank you, Hotel Bornem, for everything you offered me (:

Nice place. I was only there to visit a friend, so I can't say much about it.
