B&B Golden Lion

My reservation was cancelled by the hotel one day before I was due to arrive, and three weeks later I’m still waiting for the refund. They haven’t replied to my emails or phone calls. I plan to report them to the police. This is not a serious business. Avoid!

The room smelled of whatever they were cooking, there was noise everywhere, and around dinner time both owners started yelling at each other. The bed was a nightmare, the room wasn’t very clean, and there weren’t any towels until I asked for them. I was travelling for two weeks across six countries, and this was the worst place I stayed in during that whole trip. I had to pay a €15 deposit, and after two months it still hadn’t been returned. I contacted them twice and they said they were having technical issues. I don’t expect to get the money back, and it feels like they’re stealing from you. Avoid this place at all costs. It isn’t worth the price, even if it is cheaper than other places.

They asked us for a €100 deposit, and we never got it back, even after contacting them several times. We left the place spotless, so there was no reason to keep the money. I don’t understand how this place can still be listed on booking portals with this way of doing business. Don’t book this hotel!

I booked a room through booking.com, and despite the free cancellation clause, I still can’t get a refund for the cancelled reservation. The hotel doesn’t answer any messages. Another week went by and there was still no money back. The situation is embarrassing. I feel robbed. Then another month passed, and the hotel still hadn’t sent the money they were unfairly keeping. They’re stealing from me. What a shame.
