Gîte La Gernelle

The landlady only speaks French, but thankfully we managed to communicate using a translator. The holiday apartment itself is cosy, surrounded by greenery, and has two lovely terraces for relaxing outside. Excellent value for money.

We spent two nights here over New Year's 2018, and the cottage for two had everything we needed to feel at home. Madame even kindly offered us tomato soup. The weather was disastrous, so we were glad to relax in the comfortable living room, with its huge TV, channel package, Wi-Fi and cozy armchairs. A really good stay 😆

The only small downside for us was that little daylight gets in, so it turns dark inside pretty quickly. Still, it’s a lovely cottage in a great spot, with a nice kitchen, bathroom and bedroom, reliable Wi-Fi, and a big TV with comfortable chairs. There’s a garden out front and a balcony at the back. It suits two people, with room for a baby too. The owners were friendly and even brought us a pot of delicious tomato soup. Bouillon, Sedan, Frahan and other lovely places are all nearby.

After our walks, the friendly owner surprised us with a pot of soup each day. The apartment was lovely, in a great location, with a wonderful bed and all the amenities we needed.
