I got to watch the first of Ajax's two Champions League matches against The Spurs, who were playing in London. The place is nice, though it isn't modern. There were only two TVs in the shared areas, one on each of the first and second floors, and a very kind, very elderly lady.

The surroundings were so peaceful, with a lovely terrace and beautiful rooms. We were warmly welcomed, and breakfast was very well prepared. We booked through Booking.com.

The setting around The Owl's Nest is beautiful, but staying in the B&B was disappointing and didn't feel worth the price. Our room was under the roof of an old barn, and getting to the bed meant crawling between the beams. The bathroom was so tiny you had to maneuver around in it. The bed was the worst I've ever slept in, creaking and squeaking throughout the whole house. Breakfast was a letdown too: little choice, soggy rolls and low quality overall. The egg was good, at least.

After cycling 45 km from Weert for Bospop, I enjoyed sitting outside on the terrace. I stayed in Steenuil, which was clean, tidy and well looked after. It's not a large room, and the sloped roof makes the bathroom small, but breakfast was nicely prepared.
