Aparthotel Adagio Access Brussels Delta

We stayed four nights with our dog, which cost extra. The room could have been cleaner when we arrived, though the sheets were clean. There’s no cleaning service included since it’s an Aparthotel, which was fine. The main double bed was a sofa bed with a thicker mattress, but it still left my back hurting. The kitchenette was perfectly fine and the fridge was big. There’s no hotel parking lot, but you can ask for a card to the parking garage for 25€ a night (Nov 2025). It hurt to pay that, though Brussels parking prices are painfully high in general. We skipped the hotel breakfast. There’s a small cafe in the hospital across the street. It was very quiet.

Checkout turned what had been a five-star stay in every other way into a terrible experience. The receptionist spoke painfully slowly, which was frustrating. Then she insisted I owed money for breakfast the day before, even though I hadn’t eaten it. I’d been on an overnight conference with Australia and didn’t wake up until noon, so I couldn’t have had breakfast. She said someone had used my room number, and that meant I had to pay. We went back and forth for 10 minutes. When my Uber to the airport arrived, I said I needed to leave and asked for a manager. She told me there wasn’t one on site and that I couldn’t go until I paid for the breakfast I never had. Then she suggested I could just eat it now before leaving. Absolutely ridiculous.

The staff were really friendly, and everything was clean. Breakfast was included, and while it was basic with a small selection, it was all edible and enough to get the day started. The dishes are the problem: nearly every bowl, plate, and mug was chipped, some quite badly. They all need replacing.

The staff were amazing, but the room was rough and cramped for two adults and two children. The pillows were horrible, the bed was broken, and the door was damaged. There was a noisy electrical issue, the TV didn’t work, and the bathroom exhaust fan was out. The bathroom lighting was terrible when I tried to shave, and the HVAC wasn’t working.
