The quiet, spacious room was especially comfortable, with a very good bed and a pillow menu at check-in. Its layout works well for two people, with a separate toilet and a bathroom that has both a tub and a separate shower. There’s a Nespresso machine, minibar, safe, and plenty of room to work. Everything looked well kept and was furnished nicely. I only stayed briefly and had a quick meal at the bar, but the restaurant seems high quality and the wine selection stood out. The staff were consistently kind, professional, and helpful. Other nice touches included unlimited free wifi, morning shoeshine, bathrobes and slippers, and Molton Brown bathroom products. There’s also a gym, Finnish sauna, and infrared sauna. I liked the design details, including the “do not disturb” and “clean my room” signs. The location is excellent, and I’d happily recommend this comfortable, well-run hotel.

The service was génial vraiment, and the staff were exceptionnels. I loved the facilities, especially the spa and sauna. The place has a nice feel, both professional and VIP while still relaxed. Breakfast was great, and reception and restaurant staff were excellent too. It’s very central, near greenery, downtown, EU institutions and other institutions. I’ve traveled around Europe and this is in my top 10 hotels, and one of the best in the world I’ve visited so far.

The garden is one of the things I’ll remember most: it has two magnolias, one 130 years old and the other 115, and their flowers still delight guests. Mr. Serge can share hotel stories and details you won’t find online. The hotel’s history goes back to the 19th century, when it was a noble residence, before becoming Belgium’s first five-star hotel. It’s now owned by Norway’s Thon Hotels chain, while keeping an aristocratic feel. Antique furniture, vintage paintings, stucco ceilings, and a secluded inner garden evoke late 19th-century London. The English club look comes through in warm colors, velvet, and polished wood. Some furnishings, including mirrors and chandeliers, came from historic European estates and castles. There’s a striking mix of old and new, including eco-friendly technology alongside furniture over a hundred years old. Brighton restaurant has an eclectic English design with Chinese and Mongolian motifs, a Chinoiserie-inspired European fantasy of China and other Asian cultures, with mythical creatures, bamboo, palms, flowers, and birds. Breakfast is served there too. Near the Royal Palace and European Quarter, the Stanhope Hotel Brussels feels peaceful and refined, with history and modern comforts side by side.

We were very happy with the hotel sauna, and our room felt luxurious, with everything we needed for a perfect vacation. The staff were kind and respectful. If we return to Brussels, this is the only hotel we’ll stay at!
