The Liman Hotel

We were celebrating a birthday that weekend and were excited to spend the night here, but the service felt cold and judgmental. At check-in, we were rushed through our questions despite being the only guests there, weren’t given all the information we should have been, and got incorrect information about breakfast hours. In the morning, when we explained, someone in the kitchen staff said, “I do not care.” Of the five employees we encountered, only one was genuinely pleasant to us. The hotel itself seems beautiful, but the decor can’t make up for unprofessional service.

The buffet breakfast had a lovely range of fresh, healthy, tasty choices, and the staff were attentive throughout our stay. Liman Hotel is beautifully designed, exceptionally clean, and comfortable in the way you’d expect from a real four-star hotel. Everything exceeded what we expected. A wonderful stay, highly recommended!

We spent four nights here and had a lovely time. The rooms have modern decor, comfortable beds, a choice of pillows, and a nice shower bathroom rather than a bathtub. The air-conditioning worked well, and the friendly staff were everywhere. Breakfast offered plenty of choice, including scrambled or fried eggs made to order from real eggs, plus hot and cold options. The bar was nice and not too expensive, and housekeeping did a great job restocking supplies each day. There was a minor booking issue, but it got resolved after some discussion.

Breakfast was the highlight for me: loads of options, everything really fresh, and I looked forward to it each morning. Our room was comfortable, the bathroom amenities were useful, the staff were friendly, and we got to check in quite early. We enjoyed our stay at Liman Hotel, though the room had a faint smoky smell that I couldn’t pin down. Opening the window helped. The location is a fair walk from the city centre, and walking to Brussels North station through the nearby neighborhood felt a bit dangerous, so we avoided that walk at night. We felt completely safe inside the hotel, and I noticed security by the entrance at night. I’d probably choose somewhere closer to the centre next time, but aside from the location and smell, we were pleased.
