Urban Suites Brussels Schuman 2

The location was ideal, near the center but in a peaceful area. I was happy with my stay: the rooms were nice and cleaned daily, and the staff were helpful and good at sorting out problems. I’ll definitely pick Urban Suites next time.

The room looked modern and was clean, which made the rest of the experience a shame. I was given the building and room codes through booking, but nobody told me they had to be entered at the entrance next door to the hotel’s actual address. Staff weren’t responsive after sending the details. The wifi barely worked, so after trying for hours I gave up and paid for 4G. The shower kept switching between hot and cold. And whenever someone opened or shut a door upstairs, my door shook and sounded as if it was opening. Hearing that about 30 times a night while travelling alone wasn’t reassuring. The room itself was good quality.

My stay at urban suites was nice, but the invoice issue has been really disappointing. I asked for one before my visit because I needed it for work, and a call confirmed I’d receive it. It never came. They’ve now ignored almost 10 emails from me, and more than 10 if I count the messages from colleagues dealing with the same problem.

It’s a comfortable, modern room, and the TV came with Netflix. The owner was easy to reach and sorted out a few access problems quickly. It’s close to the EU, Leopold Park, and the House of European History, though getting to the city centre takes a bit more walking.
