Beverly Weekend

I've stayed here twice and would happily come back. The quiet rooms all look out over the lake, and the staff are really helpful. The village is small, but it has two supermarkets and some nice restaurants serving local products. There are plenty of indoor options if the weather puts you off walking or cycling, including a pool, bowling, darts, pool table, table tennis, and a kids' corner. Rooms have the appliances you'd need for a weekend, and some even have a bubble bath. It's a great choice for a short break, even with families around, perhaps because there are fewer than 10 rooms.

The staff were kind and attentive, and there was plenty to enjoy: bowling, a nice little pool, and a great sauna. The place feels cozy, with a fully equipped kitchen and a fireplace and TV in the living room.

Our apartment, "Cherley", had room for our six adults and could comfortably fit eight or nine. I have mobility issues, but there wasn't anywhere I couldn't get to. The apartment itself was clean and comfortable, with modern, top range appliances, and the view from the large furnished balcony was stunning. The building had lots to do, from table tennis and air hockey to the pool, gym, spa treatments, and sauna, all kept to a high standard. By the lake, there were private seating areas, and the water was perfect for swimming and other sports. I never saw any dirt or rubbish. Beverly Weekend checked every box for a perfect break. No complaints at all.

We visited in the off-season and mostly had the place to ourselves. The room felt worthy of its luxury category, especially with the jacuzzi looking out over the lake. We made good use of the pool, infrared and regular saunas, air hockey, and pool table, which were even better with so few other guests around. Staff were lovely and helpful. There are nearby grocery stores and some decent places to eat in the area. Tip: the burger at the local Irish pub was great.
