We felt at home in this peaceful countryside cottage, and the hosts, Virginie and Eric, were warm, attentive, and always smiling. They gave us great tips for exploring Belgium. The place was spotless, cozy, tastefully decorated, and very well equipped. Sheets and towels were provided, and the stove was already lit when we arrived, with firewood ready to use. Their flower and decoration shop is a lovely bonus, with lots of beautiful things to choose from. We had a fantastic stay, highly recommend it, and would happily come back.

We were glad in the end that you wouldn't let us stay after we had driven 300 km. It would have been the worst vacation we've ever had, and believe us, my husband and I have traveled all over the world. Your accommodation might be fine for just one night. We went home. Good luck with your business and with the people who leave comments. And thanks again for the lovely insults. The photos still don't show what the cottage is really like. The chairs are dirty, greasy plastic ones, not the nice wooden chairs in the pictures. They look like they came from a medieval cellar. The view is against a wall, not out over the field as the photos suggest, and there's no access to the field. The listing also shows a view of nature, but from the terrace the owners' side is in view. There's a small flower shop on the left, and the owners are present on the right. We hadn't read the listing carefully and brought our small Maltipoe dog. You absolutely refused to accept her or find a solution, even after our 300 km drive and our offer of a double deposit. The welcome was cold and impersonal. We followed all the payment rules, but once we saw the cottage and found it didn't meet our expectations, you wouldn't refund even half the price. We were left stranded far from home. We came for the field and nature, and wanted peace and privacy, but felt watched and controlled. I'd advise people to pay a little more for somewhere private. You are right that I was staying with my husband, but the way you reacted was inhumane to both us and the dog. The bed wasn't to be moved, and the sofa couldn't be used as a bed, even though we offered to pay extra or provide a double deposit. That was a very inflexible, Gestapo-like attitude. After the insults you directed at me and my character, you seem to think I'm acting in bad faith, but we felt uncomfortable. Baby poodle, that's the problem. A sweet little poodle being turned away after we offered a double deposit isn't humane. Aren't dogs often like wolves? Animals are nobler than you. To answer your response, thank you very much for all the insults. I'm amazed you think you can tell who I am. That says a lot about your intelligence as a farmer. The pictures are still misleading, and we could have demanded a larger refund over them. The last bed that was there wasn't offered to us, even for extra payment. Be glad I didn't ask for a full refund and asked for less than half, since the misleading photos and filthy plastic chairs instead of the pictured wooden ones were already grounds to ask for all of it. We didn't insult you, but got a bucket of shit in response. What can you expect from uncivilized, poor farmers like you, unfortunately. I don't understand why anyone leaves such good reviews. For me, even a zero rating is too generous. We never experienced such behavior toward people and animals. It's inhumane and dishonest.

A wood fire was already waiting for us when we arrived, and the owners were really friendly. The decor is lovely, too. It's a beautiful, peaceful place where you can properly relax.

Such a lovely place to stay, and the wood-burning stove is fantastic. You can use it for free.

Our hosts were so attentive, and the house itself is beautiful.
