Aero44 Hotel Charleroi Airport

The reception staff were friendly, and the room was spacious, clean, cozy, and comfortable. It had heating, a small kitchenette, a fridge, kettle, full-length mirror, and a clean bathroom with towels and soap and shampoo dispensers. The hotel has parking and an onsite restaurant, though it was closed during our stay. The bar was open. It’s a highway hotel near Charleroi airport, and pickup for four passengers cost us 25 euros. To get to Brussels, there’s a bus stop just outside. The bus comes hourly, costs 6 euros per person, and takes about 20-25 minutes to reach Luttre train station. From there, the train to central Brussels takes around half an hour, so the whole trip took us about an hour and 15 minutes.

The reception team were genuinely caring, professional, and friendly. Our airport transfer cost eur 10/person and arrived right on time, though it dropped us short of the entrance and we had quite a walk. The hotel itself was modern and very clean, and the rooms were perfectly soundproof.

We found the family room very comfortable for the three of us, and the beds were ultra comfortable. The self-service breakfast area was well stocked, and the staff were very friendly and quick to answer all my questions before and during our stay. It’s only a few minutes’ drive from the airport, which made it handy for a stopover. One of the two bathrooms had a faint sewage smell throughout our stay. The shuttle also isn’t free.

The staff were friendly and attentive, and the parking lot was large with plenty of spaces. Our room was clean and the shower cabins looked brand new. It’s a good transit hotel, very close to the airport but not quite close enough to walk. The restaurant was closed for the holidays, though they still had some quick food options. There’s also a Burger King nearby if needed.
