Breakfast was a real treat, especially the homemade bread and jams. Our bedroom was clean and cosy, and the host was always smiling, welcoming, and ready to help. We had a lovely stay at De Levensboom (former Het Oud Gemeenthuis), and would happily come back in spring. Jade and her Family

The owners made this feel like a genuinely friendly family-run B&B. They handle everything themselves, including breakfast, and were incredibly accommodating and willing to help. Just be aware the stairs are steep, so they may be difficult if you have trouble climbing steps.

The most memorable part of our three nights was how Karen and Olivier helped when we lost a bag containing our passports, cash, and credit cards. They made it possible to continue our trip with very little disruption, and we were grateful for their kindness throughout our stay. The guest house is small and charming, with a quality restaurant. Our room was comfortable, the breakfasts generous and delicious, and dinner featured carefully prepared dishes using local ingredients. Karen even arranged bike delivery when we said we wanted to rent some. It was a peaceful, beautiful small-town base for exploring Belgium and the Netherlands, close to Bruges and the extensive canal-side cycling trails. We felt at home from the warm welcome onward. A special place.

Well worth a bike ride if you're nearby. This cafe, bar, and restaurant is a lovely hidden gem, with great food and a nice view of the church.
