B&B Les Hirondelles

The hosts were really nice, and I loved the beautiful old furniture!

We came back for a weekend night after enjoying a previous stay here. This time, the shower was barely lukewarm in the morning, the lights weren't working properly, and a few other shortcomings left us with a negative impression. The owners are welcoming, attentive, and available. Parking is easy, the location is perfect, and breakfast is a major highlight. It's also peaceful and quiet.

Wouldn't recommend it. The room was dirty and badly maintained, with exposed electrical wires. The bath and shower were cold, and the taps were broken with sharp edges. After they were repaired, we got three minutes of warm water. The owners couldn't be reached at night, which isn't reassuring in a large old building, and during the day they paid no attention to these problems. I tried several times to talk things through, but communication was difficult and basically impossible. To make matters worse, we were put in an attic room with our young dog. The stairs were too steep for him, and he slipped and injured his shoulder. We'd already been worried about the stairs and had called about it. We had to take him to the vet, but even after that we couldn't get a ground-floor room. They said the complex was full, though we were alone there until the very last minute, well, almost alone. If you're sensitive to multiple energies, you'd be better off finding somewhere else. You're not alone!

The location right beside the beach and restaurants is the one positive. The toilet and shower were absolutely filthy, as shown in the photos, and the toilet was in the bedroom. There was a damp smell everywhere, and it looked like the place hadn't been cleaned in months. Avoid at all costs.
