The food was delicious, and the waiter was so kind, checking on us a few times. We also got some lovely treats on the house. 😍🥰 I understand we arrived without a reservation and the restaurant was full, but waiting more than an hour for our food felt really long. I mentioned we had a long trip afterwards, and then the food came. I'd still recommend this place, it's definitely worth a visit. Book ahead.

We found a table here on the last day of our stay in De Haan, after circling around twice looking for somewhere to eat. Several restaurants were closed or full, so we were glad this one had space. The interior and atmosphere were wonderful, and the staff were friendly. They quickly brought a highchair for our little one. My wife and I were surprised by how delicious the meat stew and schicell with mashed potatoes were. We'd definitely return to try other dishes or desserts. Highly recommend.

The food was very good, but the service let us down. I ordered a glass of water twice and never got one, yet it still appeared on the bill. One main course with a small supplement wasn't available, so I changed my order, but the supplement stayed on the bill. Dessert arrived late, only after we reminded them. The staff corrected the bill and brought it back, but didn't apologize for any of these mistakes. Mistakes happen, though a sincere “I'm sorry this happened” would have made a big difference.
