The owner was a real gem, and this is a lovely, friendly, cosy little hotel and guesthouse. The pool is a nice bonus, though the sea is some distance away. I’d definitely stay again if I ever return to de Haan.

The garden and bar lounge were beautiful, and the place was one of the most peaceful I’ve stayed in. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I’d definitely come back.

From the moment we arrived, the staff were always smiling. They’d already been so helpful and kind when we asked questions about bringing our dog. Our room had a large, comfortable bed and a cute little balcony looking out over the garden. The dining area was pretty, and the self-service bar was a great touch. I didn’t try the pool because it was too cold for me, but it was heated and my boyfriend used it. The town center and beach were a 10-25 minute walk, with places to eat and relax. It was a really restful stay, and we’d come back for a weekend.

We came with a big family group for a holiday weekend in Bruges and couldn’t find anywhere in the city. I’m glad we ended up here instead. The place was so cosy, and the ladies running it were thoughtful and kind. We loved the honesty bar and the champagne when we arrived. The rooms were huge and comfortable, and the apartment my family had was huge too. We wish we’d booked another night. We added breakfast and it was absolutely worth it, with a great selection and amazing baked goods. We’ll definitely be back!
