We found parking easily around the back, so there was no need to leave the car on the street. The hotel is just a short walk from the beach, with several very good restaurants, Cafés and more nearby. The people there were friendly and helpful, with advice on places to visit. Our room was large and comfortable, and the rates were reasonable. We also liked the cozy outdoor and porch seating, especially since we got lucky with the weather. A great place for a short stay in this beautiful coastal region.

The hotel is a beautifully renovated house and a wonderful place to stay in De Haan, a lovely Belgian seaside resort. The beach is magnificent and goes on for kilometers. I especially liked the bathroom in suite number 9, though I imagine the others are just as good. The hotel itself was simply perfect, and I recommend it without reservation.

Such a pleasant stay, with an equally warm welcome. The rooms are modern and well equipped, while the lovely house keeps its old-fashioned style. I especially enjoyed having tea or coffee in the pergola. I loved it!

We've stayed at the Gouden Haan several times, including this September when we brought our daughters, who had a room of their own. The parking area behind the hotel was clean and secure, and the rooms were very clean and spacious for a 3-star place. The decor is lovely, the service as friendly as ever, and breakfast was good, personal, and perfectly enough for us. If you're after a hectic Spanish 5-star buffet, this isn't the place. Even our two daughters, who are used to all-inclusive holidays, loved it. I even got a bottle of champagne for my birthday. We'll definitely be back. Lisa, Lena, Petra, Thomas

The building dates from 1906, but the rooms are in tip-top condition and have all the comforts you need. There's a peaceful retro feel to the little hotel, with cozy lounges and quiet background music. It's in a lovely spot in the most beautiful seaside resort on the coast. Highly recommended, though it isn't adapted for disabled guests.
