Hotel Des Brasseurs

This is only about the restaurant. The staff were friendly throughout, child-friendly too, and brought coloring pencils straight away, which the kids loved. The food came promptly, but even though the place was at most half full, we waited almost as long for the bill as we had for our food, which made the service feel a little unsatisfactory. They brought complimentary mayo and ketchup, which we appreciated, but the meal was disappointing. The kids' spaghetti sauce was very watery, the salmon had a burned edge that I could easily cut off, but at 20 EUR I shouldn't have had to, and the portions were too small. We left still feeling quite hungry. At this price, both the quality and quantity should have been better.

The menu has classic dishes, and I've never had a bad meal there, quite the opposite. I always like stopping in for a meal when I'm in De Haan, and the staff have been very friendly every time, even during the busy holiday period.

I went to the hotel's restaurant just to try local dishes, moulles et frittes and steak. The food was good, the prices were nice, and so were the staff. The place is right in front of the tram station.

The stoofvlees and friet were amazing, and our waitress was so lovely, what a star. She made our day.
