The sea and beach are walkable in about 25 minutes, though I’d go by bike. We stayed in one of the small houses at Zeepolder 1, an easy drive from the highway in a quiet setting, and the pool was included. The place was basic but fine for four people, with two rooms: one had two single beds and the other a bunk bed. The shower is new, while the rest feels old fashioned, maybe from the 80s. There’s only one parking spot per house and not much parking on the grounds, but you can park outside on the streets.

It was easy to find a parking spot among the holiday homes. The beach at De Haan is about a 10-minute walk away, and Blankenberge is nearby by car.

I’m back at Zeepolder for the second time and still glad this place is here. There’s a pool, a playground, and other good things to do on site. The beach isn’t too far away. Just a great place to stay.

Everything felt very dated, and it was a shame there was nothing open to do during our visit.
