The room has a useful layout for up to four guests, and the hotel is centrally located with direct access to the Saturday market in the square out front. Getting to room 2 means going through the restaurant, and it sits above the restaurant’s outdoor seating. The noise eases after 22:00, but market preparations begin very early, so keep the windows shut if you want an undisturbed night. Parking is inconvenient. There are no hotel spaces, and they suggest parking a few blocks away to avoid the red & orange zone.

We’ve stayed at the Cecil a couple of times and enjoyed it both times. The owners are a lovely couple and are happy to help with anything. Rooms are clean and tidy, and the Continental Breakfast has plenty of choice. I’d wholeheartedly recommend this Hotel if you like a smaller place with a friendly, personal feel.

We loved our stay. The hotel was clean and lovely, and everyone on staff was friendly and helpful. Our family room was very comfortable and looked out over the market square. Breakfast was good, and it’s a slow 10min stroll to the beach. At Christmas, the square has little huts selling wine, beer, and food, along with an ice rink and a small stage with live music. It was a great location.

The owners made the stay relaxed and stress free, and they even took the trouble to find a parking space for our orange lorry. The hotel is right on the square, with well equipped, very clean rooms and lovely bedding. Greatly recommended.

The price was very fair, the room was big, and everything was clean. Breakfast was nice too, and the staff were friendly. Best hotel I’ve stayed at so far, a great experience I’d happily recommend.
