Ask before booking whether your room has a street view. Mine had a window facing the fire escape stairs, so getting fresh air was impossible, and the ventilation pipes were very noisy, as shown in the photos. Room service and breakfast were nice, though.

We had a lovely evening. The place was cosy, welcoming, and very friendly, with delicious all-you-can-eat moules frites, tasty wine, and comfortable seats. Three years later, the experience was the same: comfy, delicious, welcoming, and friendly.

I took my young family in for waffles and hot drinks, but the meal turned chaotic. The waitress got the order wrong, and it arrived very, I mean very, late. I’d want to avoid that happening again.

Breakfast was disgusting, the smell was horrible, and the toilet was blocked. Nobody fixed it. Our room was full of insects, spiders and mosquitoes. We were charged 30 euros too much for the room and couldn’t get any money back. Worst hotel ever.

The breakfast was good, and the hotel is conveniently located. It’s quite an old-style Belgian seaside hotel, though our room had no proper window and felt pretty depressing.
