Hotel Villa Anita

The sea view is lovely, and the villa is very close to the seawall. But access could be difficult: there’s a steep slope and lots of stairs between the seawall and the house. There isn’t a downstairs toilet either, so you have to go back up to your room each time. It’s not suitable for people with reduced mobility or for families with young children.

Up to ten people can stay here across three suites on different floors, though the dining table may feel a little tight. Getting to the suites is easy with the elevator, and each has its own bathroom with a walk-in shower and toilet. Everything needed for a lovely stay is provided. The exterior shows the years of sea air and windblown sand, but inside, the renovation has been done with real care and respect for the villa’s historic character. Well done.

The restaurant has a stunning view over the sea, and breakfast was included, with plenty to eat and excellent pastries. We had a lovely stay. Our double room was spacious, charming and looked out to sea, with nothing to complain about.

The beach and promenade are very close, and there’s a local shop and restaurants nearby too. The building itself was great, though it felt neglected, as did the surrounding area. It sits on a small hill, and the parking area is too small for large cars. We stayed in a small attic room with air conditioning, fairly narrow beds and a large shower. There’s an elevator, but you still need to use the stairs to reach the top floor.
