The sandy beach is fantastic, and the hospitality was great. This is a handy spot for a short break before or after taking the ferry between Dunkirk and Dover. Finding breakfast wasn't easy, and most attempts didn't work out; the other options were expensive. Aside from that, it's a great place for dinner, cocktails, ice cream and festivals.

We visited in the off season, so I can't say how chaotic it gets in peak season. The food was very good, with a choice of different tapas to pick from. The rooms were a little pricey for what you get, but there was nothing wrong with them. A very nice place to stay.

The staff and owner were friendly, and the room was okayish. But the floor was so dirty that after we wiped it ourselves, the towel came away black. There was dust on the furniture, the curtains and chairs were old, and one pillow had spots of fungus.

The food was delicious and the prices attractive for the quality. We really enjoyed our meal, including the carbonnade, gratin dauphinois and meatballs in tomato sauce. There was a clear sense of identity in the dishes, and the ingredients were good quality. It's a pleasant restaurant, and the owner and staff are kind to their customers. I highly recommend it, and thank you for a lovely time!
