Hotel Victory

At 102 euros a day, I got a basic room with mattress springs poking through. The shower water was cold, and I could hear cars constantly all night. Reception was only open until 17:00. I left with some things at 9:00 am, and the receptionist asked me to hand over the room key because he was afraid I wouldn't come back. When I returned to my room at 12:00, hotel staff were cleaning up, and I wasn't at my scheduled stay time. There was no hot water for three days, and I received no compensation.

There's something seriously off about this hotel's pricing and rating. The rooms don't even have soap, let alone shampoo, a hairdryer, or other basic things you'd expect for such a ridiculously high room price. The only good thing is the hotel restaurant.

I've never stayed in a hotel as noisy as the victory. Nothing is insulated, not the doors or even the floor. The manager is rude and responds badly when you ask to have something fixed in the room. It was a nightmare. Even the maids don't speak French, Dutch, or English. After a long journey, I asked to buy breakfast at 11:30, but the manager laughed at me and refused. What a rotten, disappointing welcome!

Disgusting. Places like this should be outlawed. There's no comfort or WiFi, and it isn't very clean. Exposed electrical outlets make it dangerous. The walls and floors are cracked and stained, and the curtains are damaged. Breakfast is extremely basic. Overpriced and a total rip off!
