Our tour group stopped here for lunch. The setting beside a beautiful canola field made for a relaxing pause. We had a simple but tasty meal of warm soup, grilled chicken and fries.

We had a fantastic dinner, each of us trying a different trout dish, and both were excellent. The food was fresh and local, and the service was great. Someone else mentioned being treated poorly for not speaking French, but that wasn’t our experience at all. We don’t speak French, and the staff were awesome.

Great value for money, with delicious food, a pleasant atmosphere and very friendly service. They also have a great IPA on tap.

The service was friendly and down to earth, and our server spoke some English while we spoke some French. I had the trout meuniere, which was delicious. There’s a good selection of Belgian beers, and we were offered a tasty digestif at the end of dinner. We’d love to come back.

We used Le Freyr as our base for three days of touring around the area. We’d only booked dinner for one night at first, but the food was so good that we came back for a second evening. The duck and lamb were both excellent, and the atmosphere was lovely, with exceptionally friendly people.
