Apartment Au-dessus du Cochon Perche in the Center of Durbuy

The apartment was spacious, so there was plenty of room to move around, and it was centrally located in the old town. Bed linen, towels, a kitchen towel and a cloth were provided, along with small kitchen basics like pepper, salt, sugar and balsamic vinegar. The bathroom could use a rack for hanging clothes. The sink is set much too far back, the table was completely crooked, the bedroom wall wasn’t really clean, and the floor creaks extremely loudly. The apartment could use a small upgrade. The bed is under a sloping wall, so if you need the toilet at night, you have to climb over the other person because there’s no way to walk around the bed. The Wi-Fi network wasn’t there, so we couldn’t log in. Communication with the host wasn’t very smooth. We’d sent several messages before calling, and eventually she said she unfortunately couldn’t help us further. Luckily, later on we got the login details for the other apartment’s different network. The Wi-Fi was very slow and the connection poor, but at least we had some.

It was a shame that nobody was there to greet us, and being right in the center of Durbuy meant quite a bit of noise. Still, everything else was perfect. The apartment was absolutely charming, bright, and very well equipped.

Lovely location. Good overall, with a few minor flaws here and there.
