A nice place to visit outside school holidays. If you’re coming from far away with a family of five, keep in mind sheets, towels, and a tea towel cost an extra 65 euro to hire, and only two rolls of toilet paper are provided for the whole week. Washing clothes costs another 7 euro, and you need to bring your own detergent. It would be useful to know these costs before booking. We had young kids, and the steps up to the bedrooms weren’t ideal. There’s no fenced garden for them to play in either. For teenagers, though, the big adventure park nearby would be great.

The setting is lovely, and the restaurant is good with friendly staff. The owners are pleasant too, though the rent is still quite high. We stayed in room 228, and paid over €800 for three nights, while other cottages were around €430. That price difference doesn't feel justified, especially with a TV that didn't work, a broken curtain that left one fewer sleeping spot, and dog hair and odor in the cottage. The park and cottage themselves are also rather old.

Cabin 90 had some space between it and the other cabins, which was good for privacy. The cabin and terrace have now been thoroughly cleaned, which is good news for whoever comes after us. During our stay, though, there was a strong smell from Rue de L'Ardennes, especially in the lovely weather that weekend when lots of motorbikes were passing. The shower gave us about 30 seconds of hot water before turning ice cold. The damp-proofing was broken, and the sockets were often replaced with power strips that were broken as well. Outside, the cover over the garden table hadn't been cleaned for months. The staircase was steep and dangerous, with a low ceiling where you could hit your head.

The chalet was lovely, and the whole place felt peaceful and green. A great spot.

A clean, quiet little town, with a lovely picturesque feel and a real care for the environment.
