Chalet de Luxe Villa Valentina

Our stay at Villa Valentina was pleasant and professional. Everything was tidy, well maintained, and as agreed, and it was clear the owners take good care of the place. The deposit was handled smoothly, with no problems. Reading some of the negative reviews, I get the sense that some guests may have done something wrong and then tried to shift the blame. Our own experience was entirely positive. I'd recommend it to anyone wanting a reliable, well-kept place to stay.

We stayed with a group of friends for a winter weekend. The property itself is beautiful and has plenty of amenities, including a wellness center, but the hot water problem and the way our complaint was handled left us disappointed. The central heating was broken when we arrived, so for much of the stay the water was only lukewarm. The landlords did try to get a technician out and offered a wood-burning stove as a temporary fix, which we appreciated, but the issue wasn't fully sorted during our visit. Two people in our group also had to wait at the apartment for the technician, who arrived later than planned. After the stay, we asked for what we thought was reasonable partial compensation, but the request was rejected outright. There was also a dispute over a supposedly missing HDMI cable that we don't recognize. Our deposit was eventually returned, but later than agreed and only after we insisted. We've seen similar situations in earlier reviews, where responsibility seems to be put on the tenants, and recognized the same pattern in the communication afterward.

It's a beautiful, spacious house, and the pool and sauna area are fantastic. But the owners charge extra for everything. Towels were listed as included, yet we were charged €100 for them afterward. There's not enough cutlery or crockery either, so bring your own.

The place itself is lovely, but the host is very particular and charges exorbitant prices for everything. There's a grill but no gas. After using it, we cleaned the grates, but apparently the whole grill had to be spotless or he'd keep the deposit. The furnishings were also lacking. The place is meant for 12 people, yet there were only 7 knives and hardly enough plates or glasses. That doesn't match the high standards the host expects from guests.
