My husband had the Moules and spent the whole night and most of the next day sick from both ends. I had the margherita pizza, which was fine. I really wish I’d checked the reviews before eating here. Buyer beware!

I wanted a simple pancake with jam for breakfast. The waiter didn’t speak any English, but we managed to place the order. When I asked if the jam was strawberry, she said, “Oui, oui...” It wasn’t strawberry. The pancakes were mediocre at best, especially for 15 euros. My cappuccino was very diluted and didn’t taste good. I’m almost certain it came from a coffee pod, and it wasn’t worth the price either.

The only thing going for the place is that it’s pretty central, so it’s easy to get to better restaurants. The service and food here were disappointing. My angus burger cost 23 euro and was the sort of thing you’d expect to pay £10 for at a wetherspoons, Brits will understand. Then I spent most of the next day power-sharting into the toilet or emptying myself top-end. Did you know a mars bar tastes exactly the same on the way up as on the way down? Trust me, I’ve done the research. It ruined 1/4 of our four-day trip.

The rooms were dirty, with blood on the sheets and blankets and spider webs everywhere. The webs seemed to be there to catch the mosquitoes, but it didn’t work, those mosquitoes were smart. The bedding looked as if it had come from Pale-stine's demolished houses. Try to avoid this hotel and restaurant if possible.

The so-called happy hour felt like a tourist trap. We ordered two Aperol drinks advertised as 1 plus 1, but were charged for both. When we asked about the bill, they said it was for a second order by the same person. I’d never come across that kind of happy-hour practice before, and it hadn’t been mentioned. The food was average and expensive for its quality. They also forgot our order, so we had to order again, and the service was very slow. Expensive, stay clear and go somewhere else.
