Durbuy Suites

The food was okay, but we expected more. Maybe our expectations were simply too high, though dinner felt more like a good brasserie meal than the gastronomic menu mentioned on the website. Breakfast was varied and plentiful, but it didn’t have that little extra either. An à la carte setup might work better at this smaller hotel. Guests could order the evening before, which would reduce waste and make it easier to cater to what people want. Joshua was very friendly and considerate, though he still seemed a bit new to the job. He was nervous at times and not quite punctual. We arrived on time both for check-in and breakfast but had to wait a few minutes for him. Nothing major, but it’s nicer as a guest to be greeted when you arrive. The hotel’s design is lovely, a mix of modern style, rustic touches, and warm colors. Our yellow room was very nice, but the salon and dining area stood out for its lovely view. With the small scale, wellness area, and green surroundings, it’s a good choice for a relaxing getaway.

That lovely green view really set the mood for the weekend. Add in the private wellness area, fantastic rooms and an all-star food experience, and we had everything we needed. We’ll definitely be back.

The generous breakfast and warm, attentive staff made our stay especially enjoyable. We spent two nights there outside the summer season and loved how peaceful it was. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the wellness area was spotless and very pleasant. We even had it to ourselves one evening, so we could really enjoy it. A lovely cottage, and we’d happily return. Thank you.
