Gite Ma Dame Jeanne in Durbuy With a Sauna

We had a good stay, enjoyed some lovely walks, and really liked the atmosphere in Durbuy. The only real letdown was the pellet stove, which we tried many times but never managed to get working. The house is large and recently renovated, with a certain stately charm, though it doesn’t feel quite like an Ardennes-style home. It’s about a 4.5 km walk to Durbuy. There’s plenty of parking, enough for five cars, though the driveway up from the street is steep and could be tricky for some vehicles. Outside, the well-kept terrace has plenty to enjoy in good weather, and there’s a large garden with a trampoline and petanque court. Inside, the living room has a table for ten, but the lounge area is tight, with room for just six or seven on the sofas, so others have to use chairs. The kitchen is modest in size but well equipped, with a small tabletop fridge as well as a larger fridge with a freezer compartment. Downstairs are a guest toilet and a games room with foosball and a small billiards table. Upstairs there are five spacious bedrooms, four with double beds and one with twin beds. The beds were fine. There are two bathrooms, one with a toilet, plus a separate toilet. Watch out for the small staircase between the bedrooms, as it feels quite dangerous in the dark.
