Hotel Le Vieux Durbuy

This is part of maison cardinael, and we were very disappointed. For such an extortionate price, the value was unbelievable. We were given a small room with two small windows, and it felt like a prison. They let us move to a room shown on their website, but then we found hair in every corner of the bathroom. The restaurant and food were very good, and I'd recommend it for a nice evening out with good food. But the hotel and its staff are another matter. The staff weren't friendly, showed no flexibility with people who don't speak French fluently, and some were just blatantly rude. We definitely won't stay here again, and I wouldn't recommend the hotel.

Lea has elegant, well-designed rooms and very comfortable beds. It's a great starting point for walks around Durbuy. The hotel has the same owners as Victoria hotel, where you go for check-in and breakfast, just a short walk away.

The room was far too hot, and without a shower curtain water ended up all over the bathroom. Noise from the nearby pubs and restaurants carried into the room too. I’d booked two beds, but there was only one. Staff told me none of the rooms have two beds, so I don’t understand why that option is offered when booking. Check-in is around the corner at a different hotel, and the entrance is down a narrow back alley with an extremely steep ramp. This definitely isn’t the 4-star hotel they advertise.

Check-in, check-out, and breakfast are handled at the Victoria hotel. This is one of the three hotels in the Maison Caerdinael chain. The hotel itself is an adorable 3-star place, with old-world charm alongside modern amenities.
