Right in the heart of the lovely little city of Durbuy, this is a spacious restaurant with a warm, tasteful interior and lots of tables. The staff dress classically and are polite and proper; they even take your coat when you arrive. The food and wines are good quality, though not cheap, and the toilets are really fancy.

The food was excellent, so I’m still giving it one star, but the suite was extremely hot in midsummer because its air conditioning wasn’t working. It was like a jungle in there, and the place was very expensive under those conditions. The owner’s response, denying it and saying you don’t need air conditioning in summer, only made things worse for me.

We’d booked and paid for three nights at Residence Durbuy, but the service there was awful, with nobody around, so we left and spent two nights at Saint Amour instead, with gastro-luxury. It’s a really enjoyable hotel with a good restaurant, and the staff are gentle. They welcomed our dogs, even though the interior is chic and lovely. Recommended!

The food was okay, but service was rather slow. We had to go over and get things moving a couple of times while the staff were just standing at the bar.

They’re really kind, and the food was so good. I especially recommend the Lobster!
