This guest house is so cute! The room has a large bedroom, a sweet little living room, a cute balcony, and a big bathroom. It feels like staying in a Hobbit house from a movie, and I mean that as a compliment. The whole town is adorable, too. If we ever come back to Belgium, I want to stay here again.

The rooms have an atmosphere that fits the city. A nice place to stay in Durbuy.

The location is the only good thing about this place. The rooms are dark and in poor condition, and there’s no soundproofing at all. You can hear everything in the building, from the rooms upstairs to the kitchen below, even through the floors and doors. A ventilation noise from the restaurant kitchen ran constantly in our room. By the end of the day, the hallway and rooms smelled of grilled meat and fried food. For the price, it really isn’t worth it.

The bedroom and bathroom are spacious, and the decor is tasteful and warm. The place has plenty of charm, and the location is ideal in the city center, with municipal parking nearby if you’re lucky. Breakfast is simple but enjoyable, though the room lighting is only accent lighting. It may do for one night, but don’t expect to relax. The rooms sit right above a lively tapas bar, with the kitchens opening straight onto the hallway. Kitchen noise, slamming doors, refrigerators, and the cook’s bell carry on until 10 or 11 pm. The old style room doors add to the charm but do nothing for soundproofing. You can hear everything from the neighbors upstairs or across the street.
