A dreadful holiday. We were told we could collect the key at 13:00, but nobody was at the desk. We waited an hour before someone showed up. The house wasn't very clean, the hamham didn't work, and the fridge was broken. The jacuzzi caused power outages. At checkout, we had to wait another hour at the Ourthe et Somme reception. The agency and the house were both a disappointment. It was expensive and nowhere near our expectations.
A horror show.
We stayed from Saturday until Wednesday, even though we’d booked through Saturday. By then my daughter had red, itchy bumps all over, we were sleeping badly, and the place felt dirtier every day as we found more problems. It ruined our holiday. The key took about 45 minutes to arrive. At the cottage, the door stuck, the floor was sticky, and flies came straight at us. The bin beside the cottage was full of rubbish and maggots, so I moved it outside the fence. Inside, the sofa was old and dirty, as were the fridge and mattresses. There was mold in the shower grout, and the sauna room smelled musty and looked unsanitary. The jacuzzi cover was moldy too. The water smelled stale, so I didn't use it again. The large bath needed a proper clean, and there were old sheets in the cupboards, possibly left by previous guests. When I filled the bath and got in, it drained very slowly and partly leaked. The playground was in such poor shape it seemed ready to be demolished, with loose boards that didn't feel safe. The first night, we heard mice running between the floors. They ate cookies from the kitchen cupboards and ran around the house. I wouldn't book with any rental company. When we complained at reception, they brushed us off and looked at us as if we were crazy.
