The balcony gives you a perfect view across the valley, and we were lucky enough to spot a pair of red kites flying over it. There were squirrels around the garden several times too, along with pigeons, jackdaws, and crows. It's also an easy walk to the castle of Petit-Somme, aka Radhadesh, and Durbuy is close by. We drove about 30 minutes to the Hotton Caves and the ruins of Logne, among other places. We enjoyed sitting at the outdoor table for sunset, though we used the sheepskins as seat covers. The beds were fine, with two good pillows for each person, and the dishwasher was handy. The hob worked great. The TV looked small in the photo but was better than expected for our Kahoot evening. There was room to park three cars. A few things could be better. We expected a bath-shower, but both bathrooms only had a bathtub. The hose was a little too short for taller people to rinse off comfortably. Water went everywhere, and without a mat to catch it, we had to use a towel to dry the floor. There was a persistent smell around the kitchen and part of the living room, like a dead mouse, perhaps one in a trap or somewhere behind the paneling. The floor was dirty enough that walking barefoot left your feet pitch black, so flip-flops or Crocs were needed. We also could have used more power outlets, and an extension cord with extra sockets would have helped. The fridge itself wasn't very spacious, but the second one in the basement helped. Getting down there from the garage would be easier, though. As it is, you have to carry groceries upstairs and back down, or open the garage door, which doesn't close smoothly and needs clear space in front of it.

A good base for exploring the area, with lots of bedrooms and bathrooms. The house is nice, though somewhat dated and a bit noisy.

A wonderful place for a dream getaway, just a short distance from Durbuy and all its attractions.
