We spent six nights here as a family of four with two kids. The pool was quiet and comfortable to relax by, and we also booked massages, which we’d recommend. There are a couple of cabins around the zen garden that you can book, just outside the main building. The hotel is well placed for walks and is a 15 to 20 minute walk from the tourist town of Durbuy. Adventure Valley is close too, about 15 minutes on foot if you take the short cut, and you can leave the car at Tropical. A friendly family runs the place, and the restaurant was excellent. We ate dinner there three times, and Alexandre Willems cooked delicious, flavourful menus with real care. Breakfast had a good choice and very fresh orange juice. Recommended!

We came back to Hotel Tropical for our 30th wedding anniversary, and the whole team made us feel welcome from the minute we arrived. The staff were friendly and incredibly helpful. Our room in the Japanese garden was modern, clean, and well equipped, and the pool was fantastic. The food was first class, beautifully presented, and served by professional, friendly staff. We’ll certainly return. Well done, William and the whole team.

The pool was dirty, so we had to leave before checking in. The place was a mess.

I only went in for dinner, so I can’t say anything about the rooms. There was a strange, almost Hitchcock movie kind of vibe as soon as I entered, but we were hungry and asked whether the restaurant could serve us. They refused because we weren’t hotel guests, which I found ridiculous. I definitely won’t stay there in the future.

The staff were so kind and helpful when our 1 year old fell on his face. They did everything they could to help us find a doctor on Saturday, so thank you to the two lovely ladies. The hotel itself is nice too, with a beautiful setting, a swimming pool with a tropical atmosphere, a small Japanese garden, and good food.
