The garden by the river was a lovely, peaceful place to sit and read. Our hosts were very friendly, the beds were great, and the towels were good quality. Breakfast was even better. A lovely stay!

A beautiful, peaceful property with wonderfully friendly service. Florenville centre is about a 10-minute drive away, and Chiny is also easy to reach in 10 minutes to arrange a kayak. There’s plenty more to do nearby.

The lounge beside the restaurant was a real highlight, cozy and elegant, and the common areas had a calm, classy, almost chic feel. I also loved the decor, a little old-fashioned but warm. The staff were welcoming, lovely, and professional. The restaurant was closed on Easter Saturday, April 19, 2025, though. Our room was clean and well equipped, with a mini-fridge, air conditioning, a safe, plenty of storage, and a Senseo coffee machine that had to be moved to plug it in. The bathroom was compact but thoughtfully laid out, with a Jacuzzi and shower, hairdryer, mini shampoo and conditioner, lots of makeup remover pads, a large mirror and makeup mirror, plus a separate toilet. There was spacious parking and an elevator, too. Breakfast was decent, with a lovely view of the bucolic garden from the dining room. We booked a night for a hiking weekend, but only afterwards noticed check-in ended at 6:00 PM, with a 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM window. Breakfast ran from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM, which felt too early for a hotel of this standard and left little room to relax or sleep in. We called, and the hotel kindly agreed to accommodate us after 6 p.m., but I felt under pressure during the hike and couldn't fully unwind. It seems best for a one-night stopover. The strict hours and closed restaurant made it less appealing for a longer stay or for anyone wanting a slower holiday. It's a charming place with lots of potential, but more flexibility would help it live up to its stars.
