The cabin was in a lovely quiet setting among trees, by a river, with great trekking trails. It was peaceful, with restaurants and supermarkets nearby in the town center, and the cabin had good facilities. I’d recommend it for a calm stay in nature. But be very careful about checkout cleaning rules. After I left, I got an email claiming I had broken a chair and not cleaned the cabin, with a €150 charge. I hadn't broken anything. When I challenged it, they dropped the chair claim but still charged me €100 for cleaning. I had washed all the dishes and cleaned the space, but left the trash in the cabin bin, and they debited €100 from my account for that. The requirement to leave the cabin exactly as found, including taking out trash, hadn't been mentioned in the cabin details, by the receptionist, or anywhere else I could see. Apparently it was buried in the general terms and conditions. Who reads all of those before doing anything? Even extra insurance didn't cover this. Clean the apartment as it was at check-in and take the garbage out, or you could be charged 100+ euros.

The riverside view was beautiful, and it was a quiet place to enjoy nature. We stayed in February, so we couldn't really use all the amenities. The pool, activities, and restaurants are closed during the off-season, so plan for summer if you want to enjoy them. The chalet was cozy and comfortable enough, and the prices were reasonable. The walk to reception could help you hit your 10K daily goal. Parking was very muddy, and cars got dirty and sometimes stuck. The path was muddy too, with literally no lighting, which was strange. Lots of construction materials blocked the way from the parking area, making it really irritating to move luggage.

The pool was great, and the staff were very friendly. Florenville was lovely, with a few nice restaurants. We were camping, though, and the pitches were poor and not very flat. We turned down the first pitch. The pitch toilet and kitchen were excellent, but the site felt a bit tired, to be honest. I'm not sure I'd go back. I can't comment on the chalets.

We were grateful to the kind reception staff for moving us to a much cooler house after the first day. Our original place on the far side of the complex was unbearably hot, and I was worried the heat could make us or our 2-year-old sick. I asked to change houses and was ready to leave altogether if that wasn't possible. The houses have cooking facilities and sit in a peaceful area, with nature and a swimming pool to enjoy. The downside was paying extra for everything. We had to pay €20 for a baby cot, which is usually free almost everywhere. Getting checked in was a rough start. In late May, we waited in line for about 3 hours, with only two people at reception. It wasn't very crowded, but each family seemed to take about half an hour, which felt really strange. The weather was incredibly hot, and waiting with a 2-year-old was very difficult. I was so frustrated I nearly gave up, left, and booked another hotel. Strangely enough, once it was our turn, our own check-in took less than 10 minutes.

I found the staff very accommodating. I stayed in one of the lodges with 3 friends. The facilities were good and the rooms reasonably sized, with the toilet and sink separate. I'd recommend bringing your own toiletries and towels.
